The Heron dipper-Tag is a multipurpose acoustic tag line — Heron's most affordable water depth instrument. A stainless steel weight and removable Delrin plopper create an audible "plop" when they hit the water surface, and the tape reading at that point gives depth to water.

Application

Beyond basic depth checks, the tag line doubles as a way to measure full well depth, attach bailers for groundwater sampling, or clip on a data logger for short-term deployments. The included biodegradable bailers make it a practical all-in-one field kit.
