Geotech ETL Water Level Meter — Manual Rewind Reel
Deep-well water level measurement from 1500 to 3000 ft (450–925 m), on a crank-assisted manual rewind reel. Past about 1000 ft, retrieving a wet tape hand-over-hand becomes slow and hard on the tape — a geared rewind handle does the work, keeps the wind even, and gets the tape back on the reel without kinks.
Same measurement performance as our standard reels: accurate to roughly 1/100 of a foot per 100 feet, with a field-serviceable 5/8" (1.59 cm) probe on polyethylene-coated steel tape, marked in engineering scale or metric. PFAS-free construction.
Choose your configuration
- Tape material — Poly or MDPE, both polyethylene-coated steel. MDPE runs slightly less per length. ETFE available on request.
- Length and markings — 1500–3000 ft marked in feet, or 450–925 m marked in metres. Tape is marked in one system only, so order the units your logs use.
These reels are supplied with the 5/8" probe only — the 3/8" probe is not offered at these depths. There is no carrying bag option for this reel size.
Which rewind do I need?
- Manual rewind (this reel) — geared hand crank. Lower cost, nothing to charge, nothing to fail electrically. Good for occasional deep readings.
- Electric rewind — powered retrieval, and the only option past 3000 ft (to 5000 ft). Worth it if you're running deep wells all day or your crew is doing many wells per shift.
- ET / ETL standard reel — 100–1000 ft / 30–300 m, and where the 3/8" probe option lives.
