Myron L KCl Conductivity Standard Calibration Solution
Myron L KCl Conductivity Standards are potassium chloride reference solutions for calibrating conductivity on any instrument running the KCl solution model. Values are stated in microsiemens (µS) at 25 °C and span 18 µS for ultrapure work up to 70,000 µS for brine.
Application
Standard practice is to calibrate conductivity in KCl and TDS in 442 Natural Water. Use these with Ultrameter II and III, PoolPro, TechPro II, DS/pDS meters and the Ultrapen PT1 / PTBT1. KCl-1800 is the value Myron L specifies for wet calibration of the PT1 and PTBT1 pens; KCl-7000 ships with the Ultrameter III titration kits.
Choosing a value
Pick the standard closest to your normal sample conductivity — 18 or 70 µS for RO/DI and ultrapure, 180–1800 µS for drinking and ground water, 7000–18,000 µS for cooling water and process streams, 70,000 µS for seawater and brine.
