HORIBA OCMA oil content analyzer series, used with the SR-305 solvent reclaimer

Horiba SR-305 Solvent Reclaimer for OCMA Analyzers

The HORIBA SR-305 solvent reclaimer recovers used S-316 extraction solvent so it can be measured again, cutting the largest ongoing running cost of operating an OCMA oil content analyzer.

Spent solvent is passed through a column of activated carbon and activated alumina, which strips the extracted oil and moisture and returns solvent clean enough for reuse. For any lab running OCMA analyses regularly, the reclaimer typically pays for itself in avoided solvent purchases — and it reduces the volume of solvent waste you have to store, document and dispose of.

How it works

A water separation filter removes carried-over water first, then the sample passes through the activated carbon container where oil is adsorbed, and finally through activated alumina for final drying and polishing. Filters, carbon and alumina are all replaceable consumables — replace them on schedule and reclaimed solvent quality stays consistent.

Compatible with the OCMA-500 and OCMA-550 (and earlier OCMA models using S-316). Part number 3014102236.

Why reclaim solvent

  • Substantially reduces S-316 purchase volume and cost per analysis
  • Reduces hazardous solvent waste generation and disposal cost
  • Less solvent inventory to store and manage on site
  • Shorter lead-time exposure — you are less dependent on solvent delivery schedules
  • Smaller environmental footprint per sample analyzed

Consumables for the reclaimer

The SR-305 needs periodic replacement of water separation filters, carbon container filters, activated carbon, activated alumina and the O-rings that hold the filters in place. All are stocked — see the Horiba Parts & Accessories collection. Keeping a spare set on the shelf avoids interrupting reclaim cycles.
