AMS Reinforced Mud Augers are heavy-duty adaptations of the standard AMS mud auger for cohesive, wet, and clay soils in difficult lithologies. Three additional gussets at the bail add strength against twisting or bending under higher torque. The laser-cut, open-cylinder design with dual-wall openings makes it easy to empty heavy, sticky material, while widely spaced bits ease entry of moist soils.

Available in Standard and full Stainless Steel builds across 5/8" threaded, Quick Connect, and Hex Quick Pin connections in diameters from 1-1/2" to 5". Compatible with AMS extensions and cross handles of the same connection type.

Applications: heavy-duty augering in wet, clay, and cohesive soils; difficult lithologies.
