The Solinst 800 Straddle Packer joins two inflatable single-point packer elements with a length of perforated PVC pipe between them. A single inflation line runs from the surface hand pump to the lower packer and jumpers up to the upper packer, so both glands inflate together against the well or borehole wall. This seals off the annular space above and below the perforated section, isolating only the discrete interval spanned between the two packers for testing or sampling through that section.
