Solinst 601 PVC Standpipe Piezometer
The Solinst 601 PVC Standpipe Piezometer is a perforated rigid-PVC tip fitted with a porous HDPE filter sleeve that keeps out silts and fine sands while letting groundwater enter. It is placed or lowered into a pre-drilled borehole (or pushed into loose sand or tailings) and connected to the surface by joining lengths of 3/4" Schedule 40 PVC riser pipe with slip couplings. Backfill is placed around the perforated tip and the top closed with a slip cap, making it a permanent, single-installation piezometer rather than one designed to be retrieved.
