Solinst 464 Electronic Pump Control Unit
The Solinst 464 Electronic Pump Control Unit is a battery-powered timer/controller that drives Solinst's pneumatic pumps — the 407 Bladder Pump, 408/408M Double Valve Pumps, and 425 Discrete Interval Sampler hand pump. It regulates a compressed gas supply (air, nitrogen, or an inert gas cylinder) delivered through a drive line to the pump, while an internal solenoid valve cycles between a drive phase (pressurizing the line to force water upward) and a vent phase (releasing pressure so the pump recharges with water). Cycle timing can be set from three built-in Low/Medium/High presets or user-defined custom drive/vent times from 1 second to 99 hours, with up to 99 named settings stored in non-volatile memory. If the batteries are removed or depleted, a manual push-button valve on the front panel takes over, letting the unit run on compressed gas alone with no electronics required.
