RKI T3A Explosion-Proof Fixed Gas Transmitter
The RKI T3A is a 3-wire, explosion-proof fixed gas transmitter using electrochemical, infrared, or catalytic bead sensing to cover a broad range of toxic and combustible gases — including LEL, Cl2, CO, CO2, H2S, HCl, HCN, HF, NH3, NO2, O2, O3, PH3, and SO2. Both 4-20mA analog and RS-485 Modbus outputs are standard, with a self-powered wet-contact fault relay built in.
The cast enclosure is certified explosion/flame-proof (CQPSUS) Class I Division 1 & 2 Groups B, C, D, rated NEMA 3, 4, 4X, 7(B,C,D), 9(E,F,G) for hazardous-area installation, and operates from -40°C to +54°C on 12-35VDC (2W max). Choose the standard sensor/transmitter, a 2-relay version for local alarm switching, or the wireless AirLink T3A that reports over a 900MHz radio link where running conduit isn't practical. A remote sensor kit extends the sensing point up to 250 ft (electrochemical), 40 ft (infrared), or 15 ft (catalytic) from the transmitter electronics. The configurations listed here cover the most commonly ordered gas types and options; additional ranges are available by quote.
