RKI SP-230 Gas Leak Checker
The RKI SP-230 Gas Leak Checker is a pocket-sized, sample-draw instrument for pinpointing hard-to-find leaks at low concentrations, using a hot-wire semiconductor sensor with roughly a 10-second response time. Its rubber-armored housing is rated IP-67 and passes a 2-meter drop test, and the backlit LCD reports gas name, concentration, elapsed time, and battery status at a glance.
Available in gas-specific versions for fumigation gases, super-toxic gases, chlorofluorocarbons, or hydrogen, the SP-230 runs on 2×AA alkaline batteries for 13+ hours and logs up to 256 peak-hold readings via IrDA output. Non-latching gas and trouble alarms (sensor, battery, flow, circuit, and calibration faults) keep the unit self-monitoring in the field.
