RKI RX-8000 Marine Gas Monitor
The RKI RX-8000 Marine Gas Monitor is a rugged, sample-draw instrument built for confined-space entry and hot-work permitting aboard tankers, refineries, and petrochemical plants. Combustible gas is measured by non-dispersive infrared (0–100vol% or 0–100%LEL), paired with a galvanic-cell oxygen sensor (0–40.0%), and an internal pump pulls a minimum 0.75 L/min sample through the unit.
A digital display with bar graph shows live readings, backed by three bright alarm LEDs and a 95dB buzzer at configurable low/high setpoints. The RX-8000 runs on a rechargeable lithium-ion pack (15-hour runtime, 3-hour charge) or 3×AA alkaline batteries (10-hour runtime), and carries IP67, ATEX/IECEx, and MED marine-type approval for use in hazardous locations.
