The RKI Model 1017 is an explosion-proof, sample-draw combustible gas detector housed in a cast aluminum, watertight enclosure certified CSA and UL Class I Division 1 Groups B, C, D with NEMA 4, 7, 9 ratings. An internal pump draws a 1.0 LPM sample from up to 100 feet away through stainless steel fittings and flame arrestors, giving it reach into tanks, vaults, and confined spaces without exposing electronics to the hazardous atmosphere.

Standard sensor options cover 0-100% LEL combustibles (catalytic or IR hydrocarbon/methane), with an optional 0-25% volume oxygen channel, and several configurations pair directly with an RKI M2A or M2A-XL remote display. Output is 4-20mA via optional amplifier, integrating with RKI Beacon controllers or third-party systems on 24VDC power.
