The RKI GX-8000 is a rugged, waterproof portable gas monitor built for marine and heavy industrial work. Its housing and internals draw on decades of RKI gas detection design so the instrument keeps operating in wet, salt-laden and dirty conditions that shut lesser monitors down. A strong internal sample pump draws the sample through a probe for remote testing ahead of entry, and the instrument can be configured with up to four sensors so one unit covers combustible, oxygen and toxic hazards together.

Applications include confined space entry and pre-entry atmospheric screening, oil tankers, gas carriers, bulk carriers and chemical tankers, cargo and ballast tank testing, refineries, petrochemical and chemical plants, wastewater treatment, fire services, telecommunications and utility vaults, power and gas plants, coating work and fuel cell facilities.

Replacement combustible, oxygen and toxic sensors, calibration gas cylinders and regulators, calibration kits and SDM calibration stations, filters, batteries, chargers and carrying cases are all stocked.
