Ion Science Titan 2 — Wall-Mounted Continuous Benzene-Specific Gas Monitor
The Ion Science Titan 2 is a wall-mounted, continuous, benzene-specific gas monitor — not a total-VOC detector reporting benzene by inference. It reports benzene from 0.02 ppm (20 ppb) to 20 ppm, sampling once per minute, and is selective for benzene within a typical petrochemical matrix.
Selectivity comes from the MiniPID T2 10.0 eV sensor combined with sample conditioning that removes interfering gases before measurement. The enclosure is internally heated for temperature stability, IP65 rated, and certified for ATEX zones — so readings hold up in dusty or humid conditions where an unheated instrument would drift.
The design is deliberately modular: the Ex d case is installed and wired in advance, and the detector module is removed and replaced at service time. Downtime is a module swap, not a re-installation.
Servicing
Titan 2 has a defined six-month minimum service period covering the PID lamp, electrode stack, inline filter, VRV restrictor and hydrophobic and carbon filters, with the AirSep filter added at twelve months.
