Ion Science Cub Personal PID
The Ion Science Cub is the world's smallest and lightest personal photoionization detector (PID), worn on the lapel or in the breathing zone for continuous VOC exposure monitoring. It warns workers of harmful volatile organic compounds — including benzene and other total aromatic compounds (TACs) — before concentrations reach dangerous levels. Built on Ion Science's patented Fence Electrode Technology with an anti-contamination design, the Cub delivers dependable ppm or ppb readings in humid and dirty atmospheres where other detectors drift.
APPLICATIONS
Personal Exposure Monitoring: Continuous breathing-zone VOC measurement against STEL and TWA limits.
Industrial Hygiene Surveys: Worker exposure assessments across refinery, chemical, and manufacturing sites.
Benzene and TAC Screening: Early warning of aromatic compounds using the CubTAC configuration.
Environmental Site Work: Supplementary personal monitoring alongside a survey PID during drilling and remediation.
Confined Space and Tank Entry: Hands-free organic vapor monitoring for entrants and attendants.
