Choose your set

• 550-TBP-4 (part no. 3201063378) — full four-point set: 0.02, 20, 100 and 800 NTU. Calibrates the meter across its entire measuring range and is the right choice for a new instrument or an annual full recalibration.
• 550-TBP-2L (part no. 3201063380) — low set: 0.02 and 20 NTU. For work concentrated at the clean end, such as finished drinking water and filter effluent.
• 550-TBP-2H (part no. 3201063381) — high set: 100 and 800 NTU. For turbid work such as raw water, stormwater and sediment monitoring.

Why the 0.02 NTU standard matters

The low-end standard is what makes trustworthy drinking water measurement possible. Regulatory turbidity limits for filtered water sit well below 1 NTU, so an instrument calibrated only at higher values is being asked to extrapolate into precisely the range where the decision gets made. Calibrating at 0.02 NTU anchors the meter where your compliance readings actually fall.

Handling for accurate results

• Invert sealed standards gently before use — never shake, which introduces bubbles that scatter light and inflate readings
• Let the vial come to ambient temperature to prevent condensation on the glass
• Wipe the vial clean and apply silicone oil to mask fine scratches before measuring
• Always insert the vial in the same orientation, using the index mark
• Store out of direct sunlight and replace standards at the end of their stated shelf life
