Global Water Water Quality Sensors
Submersible water quality sensors with 4–20 mA output, built to wire straight into a datalogger, telemetry unit or PLC rather than a handheld meter. These are the sensors for continuous unattended monitoring — a permanent station in a stream, a lift station, a pond or a canal.
What each sensor is for
- Dissolved oxygen (WQ401) — the parameter that moves fastest and matters most for aquatic life. Standard for stream health work, aquaculture ponds and aeration control.
- pH (WQ201) — supplied on 25 ft of cable. The electrode is the wear part and is replaceable, so the sensor body outlives several electrodes.
- Conductivity — a proxy for total dissolved solids and the quickest way to see saltwater intrusion, road-salt runoff or an illicit discharge.
Ordering notes
- These are 4–20 mA sensors. Confirm your logger or controller has a current input, or budget for a signal conditioner.
- pH electrodes have a finite service life regardless of use — a spare on the shelf keeps a station from going dark mid-season.
- Cable is factory-terminated at the stated length. Splicing a submersible sensor cable in the field is a common cause of drift and failure.
Applications
Surface water and stream monitoring, wastewater and lift stations, stormwater outfalls, aquaculture and hatcheries, irrigation canals, and any telemetered water quality station.
