AMS Telescoping Auger Kits pack a full soil-auger setup into a compact, travel-friendly package. An internal extension lets the sampler telescope from 4 ft to 8 ft with the push of a snapper pin, yet the kit is just 5' 4" long when collapsed — easy to carry and store. Each kit includes a cross handle, inner and outer extensions, your choice of soil auger, and three snapper pins that lock the assembly together.

Auger heads pair a stainless steel cylinder with high-carbon steel bits and a tungsten-carbide hard-surfaced cutting edge for lasting sharpness; the cross handle and extensions are chromoly. Choose the auger type to match your soil: Regular for most/loamy soils, Mud (laser-cut open cylinder) for heavy, wet, or clay soils, and Sand (closed, restricted-opening bit) to retain loose sandy material during retrieval.
