AMS Planer Augers clean loose soil and slough from the bottom of an already-augered borehole, leaving a flat, clean surface to collect a core sample or run geotechnical testing. A cutting blade on the underside of the flat, slotted head shears off loose material as you rotate. Each planer auger pairs a carbon-steel bail and stainless-steel cylinder with a tungsten-carbide hard-surfaced cutting blade for long field life.

Available in 5/8" threaded, Quick Connect, and Hex Quick Pin connections across a range of diameters. Compatible with AMS extensions and cross handles of the same connection type.

Applications: borehole-bottom cleaning, core-sample preparation, and geotechnical-test prep.
