The AMS Original Gas Vapor Probe (GVP) Kit is ideal for shallow soil-gas sampling in easily penetrable soils and for preliminary site screening. The probe is pushed with a 10" cross handle in soft soils, or driven with an optional 10-lb slide hammer; a barbed adapter then replaces the drive handle to collect the soil-gas sample. A liner rod inside the base section keeps soil out while driving, and stainless steel extensions let you reach depths up to 12 ft or more depending on lithology.

The Original GVP features both 1/2" National Fine and 5/8" National Coarse connections for broad compatibility with existing AMS tooling.

Applications: preliminary soil-gas screening, shallow vapor sampling, and reconnaissance surveys at spill sites, USTs, and pipelines.
