AMS Gas Vapor Probe (GVP) Kits are built for soil-gas and vapor-intrusion investigations at hydrocarbon spill sites, underground storage tanks, pipelines, landfills, and hazardous-waste sites. A stainless steel vapor probe tip is driven to the target depth — up to 12 ft or more — using an AMS slide hammer or an electric SDS-Max combination rotary hammer drill together with GVP drive extensions. Fluoropolymer tubing attaches to the barbed fitting for convenient remote sampling from the surface.

Each kit accepts two interchangeable tip styles: Dedicated Tips, installed as permanent, disposable sampling points, and the reusable Retract-A-Tip, which opens at depth for faster equilibrium and can also collect shallow groundwater. Heavy-Duty (HD) configurations add flighted augers and a carbide-tipped lead auger to pre-drill boreholes up to 9 ft through tough, rocky, or compacted soil, plus a wild-bore concrete bit for sampling beneath slabs.

Applications: soil-gas surveys, vapor-intrusion assessment, UST and pipeline leak detection, landfill gas monitoring, and hydrocarbon-spill delineation.
