Solinst 3001 Levelogger 6 LTC
The Solinst Levelogger 6 LTC logs three parameters — water level, temperature and conductivity — from a single 22 mm x 208 mm (7/8" x 8.2") probe that drops into a 2" well. Inside are a Hastelloy® piezoresistive pressure sensor, a platinum RTD temperature detector, a 4-electrode platinum conductivity cell with autoranging, and an 8-year battery. The body carries the same baked-on polymerization coating as the rest of the Levelogger 6 Series to resist corrosion, abrasion and high temperatures, and double o-ring seals guard against leaks. The unit is sealed and minimal-maintenance, and can be cleaned and calibrated in the field.
Conductivity has a full range of 0 to 100,000 µS/cm with a calibrated range of 50 to 80,000 µS/cm. Accuracy is ± 1% from 5,000 to 80,000 µS/cm, and the greater of ± 2% or 15 µS/cm from 50 to 5,000 µS/cm, at 0.1 µS/cm resolution. The Data Wizard in Levelogger Software converts raw readings to Specific Conductance referenced to 25°C and walks you through conductivity calibration and barometric compensation. Level accuracy is ± 0.05% FS and temperature accuracy is ± 0.05°C.
Series 6 brings enhanced electronics with better stability and sensitivity across the temperature range, a 100,000-reading memory backed by a dedicated 15,000-reading store, stored time stamps for local, GMT or UTC display, and download speeds doubled to 19.2k baud with the Mk3 USB-C PC Interface Cable. Sampling runs from 2 seconds to 99 hours in linear, event, and user-selectable schedules with repeat and pause. Read out with a Solinst Readout Unit, DataGrabber, PC Interface Cable, or over Bluetooth® with the Levelogger App Interface; the LTC is SDI-12 and MODBUS compatible via an Interface Cable and integrates with LevelSender cellular and SolSat satellite telemetry.
For long deployments, consider a Biofoul Screen — a Delrin sleeve wrapped in copper wire that slips over the sensor end by compression fit and uses the natural anti-fouling properties of copper to slow the buildup of algae, barnacles and mussels on the pressure sensor and conductivity cell.
Choosing a range. All models carry the C80 conductivity range; the M number is the maximum submergence depth in metres.
| Model | Full Scale | Accuracy | Resolution |
| M5, C80 | 5 m (16.4 ft) | ± 0.3 cm (0.010 ft) | 0.001% FS |
| M10, C80 | 10 m (32.8 ft) | ± 0.5 cm (0.016 ft) | 0.0006% FS |
| M20, C80 | 20 m (65.6 ft) | ± 1 cm (0.032 ft) | 0.0006% FS |
| M30, C80 | 30 m (98.4 ft) | ± 1.5 cm (0.049 ft) | 0.0006% FS |
| M100, C80 | 100 m (328.1 ft) | ± 5 cm (0.164 ft) | 0.0006% FS |
| M200, C80 | 200 m (656.2 ft) | ± 10 cm (0.328 ft) | 0.0006% FS |
Do you have everything you need? The Levelogger 6 LTC measures absolute pressure, so it needs a Barologger 6 for barometric correction. Biofoul screens, calibration solutions, direct read cables and readers are listed under Solinst Levelogger 6 Series Parts & Accessories. If you do not need conductivity, see the Levelogger 6.
