The Solinst 104 Sonic Water Level Meter uses an ultrasonic probe to measure depth to water without physically contacting the water surface, making it well suited for wells with floating product, foam, or oil sheens where a standard tape-and-probe meter would give a false reading. The readout unit displays depth instantly as the probe is lowered down the well.
