The Wavelet is a self-contained field gateway that reads the sensors you already own and delivers their data to the cloud — no truck rolls, no manual downloads. Rated IP68 / NEMA 6P and operating from −40° to 80°C (−40° to 176°F) in a UV-resistant polycarbonate/ABS enclosure, it runs on a field-replaceable lithium battery for up to 10 years or on solar/AC power. Sensors connect over M12 with RS485, RS232, or SDI-12 serial, 4–20 mA / 0–24 V analog, and dry-contact or pulse inputs, so a Wavelet drops onto existing infrastructure instead of replacing it.

Ordering a complete system — 3 steps

1. Pick your Wavelet model below.
2. Choose power — the internal lithium battery ships with the unit. Add a solar panel for long-term remote sites, or an AC power supply where mains power is available.
3. Add an annual data plan — required to receive data. See Geotech SiteView.

Most sites also need one M12 connector per sensor, and a cable splitter if you're running more sensors than the unit has physical ports — see 4R splitters or V2 splitters. Which model do I need?

• Wavelet 4R — the economical choice for a small sensor count. 1 sensor port supporting up to 4 sensors with splitters, 2 analog and 2 digital inputs, 16 MB memory, cellular CAT-M. Battery life up to 10 years. No GPS, no LoRa.
• Wavelet V2 — the versatile standard. 3 sensor ports supporting up to 12 sensors with splitters, 4 analog and 5 digital inputs, 8 GB memory, 4G/3G/2G cellular, dual SIM, built-in GPS, and a backup internal antenna. Battery life up to 5 years.
• Wavelet LoRaWAN V2 — a V2 factory-configured for LoRaWAN instead of relying on cellular coverage. Choose this when your site has a LoRa gateway or no reliable cell signal. LoRa must be specified at manufacture and cannot be added later.
• Wavelet Ex V2 — certified for explosive atmospheres: Class I Division 1, ATEX Zone 0, IECEx. 3 ports each accepting serial, analog, and digital inputs. Required for fuel terminals, refineries, digester gas, and similar classified areas.

Works with the sensors you already have

Because the Wavelet speaks standard industrial protocols, it can telemeter instruments across your existing inventory:

• Pressure transducers & level loggers — 4–20 mA and SDI-12 water level sensors are the most common Wavelet application.
• In-Situ Aqua TROLL multiparameter sondes — turn a spot-check sonde into an unattended, continuously reporting water quality station over SDI-12 or RS485. See the In-Situ pressure transducer range as well.
• Water quality instruments — pH, conductivity, DO, and turbidity sensors with serial or analog output.
• Flow meters — pulse-output and 4–20 mA flow sensors, using the unit's pulse counting inputs.

Platform & security

Data lands in the cloud platform behind Geotech SiteView — a web and mobile (iOS/Android) interface with mapping, up to 4 alert notifications per data stream by email, SMS, or voice call, and export via CSV or FTP. It integrates with SCADA and BI systems over REST API, CSV, DNP3, and OPC-UA. Traffic is secured with TLS 1.3 (AES-256) and hardware-based device authentication, with full over-the-air firmware updates. A global multi-network SIM data plan covering 180+ countries is included.
