Geotech FEP Disposable Bailers
Geotech FEP Disposable Bailers are molded from fluorinated ethylene propylene — the most chemically inert bailer material available, and the reference standard when the analyte list cannot tolerate any interaction with the sampler wall.
FEP does not sorb or leach organics the way polyethylene can, so it holds up where a poly bailer would compromise the result: aggressive solvents, high-concentration organics, and low-level work where sorption losses to the bailer itself would show up in the data. The smooth, non-wetting surface also releases the sample cleanly.
Weighted, single use, supplied 12 per case. Note that FEP bailers do not carry the biodegradable additive used in the polyethylene range.
Application
Regulatory groundwater sampling with strict QA/QC requirements, low-level VOC and semi-volatile work, solvent-impacted sites, and any program where the method specifies an inert sampler. Also the right call when a site's contaminant profile is unknown and you cannot rule out material incompatibility.
For routine monitoring where polyethylene is acceptable, the standard disposable range is considerably more economical. For a reusable inert body, see the stainless options in Reusable Bailers.
