Ion Science ARA-X4 Multi-Gas Detector — 4-Gas Monitor (LEL, O2, CO, H2S)
The Ion Science ARA-X4 is a compact, intrinsically safe four-gas monitor built for compliance monitoring and personal protection in hazardous atmospheres. One instrument covers combustible gas (LEL), oxygen (O2), carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S), with alternate sensor builds available for SO2 and HCN. It is rated IP67, certified to ATEX and IECEx, and backed by a 5-year instrument warranty.
The LEL sensor is chosen at the point of order. The catalytic bead (CAT) build keeps the entry price down; the infrared (IR) build resists the sensor poisons that shorten pellistor life and stretches runtime from roughly 18 hours to about 60 days between charges. Oxygen is offered as a standard leaded cell (L) or a lead-free (LF) cell rated beyond 60 months in air.
Keeping it in service
Bump test the detector daily; the toxic and LEL sensors require annual calibration. Replacement O2, CO, H2S, SO2, HCN and LEL sensors, gas filters, batteries, chargers, calibration caps and docking hardware are stocked in ARA & ARA-X4 Spares & Accessories.
