Horiba Checker Water Quality Meter X-51 & X-52
HORIBA Checker units are reference instruments used to verify that a water quality meter is reading correctly. Rather than measuring a sample, a Checker supplies known, stable electrical signals to the meter's input so you can confirm the instrument's electronics and calibration are sound independently of any electrode, sensor or standard solution.
This matters because a bad reading has two possible causes: the sensor or the meter. Substituting a fresh electrode is the usual diagnostic, but that is slow and expensive. A Checker separates the two immediately — if the meter reads the Checker's known input correctly, the electronics are fine and the problem is the sensor or the solution. Laboratories operating under a quality system also use Checkers as documented evidence that instrument electronics were verified on schedule.
Two models
- Checker X-51 (part no. 3014028368) — verifies pH, mV, ion and dissolved oxygen measurement channels.
