Geotech Fluoropolymer Reusable Bailers are built from 100% virgin fluoropolymer resin — FEP bodies and PTFE fittings — making them the most chemically inert reusable bailer available. Nothing in the flow path sorbs or leaches organics, so the sampler itself does not bias the result.

This is a modular system rather than a fixed bailer. You buy the pieces and assemble the configuration your program needs: a top, a body, and a bottom. Couplers join two bodies when you need more volume, and the whole assembly unscrews for decontamination — which is what makes it reusable in the first place.

Components

The diagram above shows the main components in the 1.75" range. The 1" and .75" ranges follow the same top / body / bottom pattern in smaller diameters.

• Standard Top. Dual side openings let water enter freely as the bailer descends.
• Point Source Top with Check Valve. Seals on retrieval so you capture a discrete sample from one depth rather than a mixed column.
• Bailer Body. FEP tube; the size you choose sets the sample volume, from 60 cc up to 1050 cc.
• Coupler. Joins two bodies to extend length and volume.
• Standard Captive Ball Bottom. The everyday check — the ball is retained so it cannot be lost downhole.
• Variable Flow Bottom, Body and Valve. Complete assembly with a stopcock for controlled discharge.
• Variable Flow Bottom, Body Only. The same bottom supplied without the stopcock.
• Variable Flow Stopcock. The valve on its own, as a replacement or to complete a body-only bottom.
• Quick Empty Adapter. Drains the bailer through a fine tip for controlled transfer into vials.

Application

Regulatory sampling with strict QA/QC requirements, low-level VOC and semi-volatile work, and solvent-impacted sites where polyethylene would be a source of error. The point source top makes this a practical choice for depth-discrete sampling in stratified wells, and the variable flow bottom is worth having wherever the discharge rate matters — filling VOA vials without turbulence, or metering into a filter.

Because the components decontaminate and reassemble, this range suits long-running programs where the per-sample cost of a disposable adds up. For single-use work, the FEP disposable bailers give the same inertness with no cleaning burden.
