Choosing a motor

Motor: horsepower, phase and wiring, for example 1.5 HP, 1-phase, 2-wire.
Voltage: 115V, 200V, 230V or 460V depending on the model.
2-wire vs. 3-wire: 2-wire motors have the starting components built in. 3-wire single-phase motors need a control box.
