When you need this: the Wavelet's standard external antenna is enough at most sites, but signal suffers where the unit sits inside a metal cabinet, below grade in a vault or manhole, or at the edge of cellular coverage. A magnetic antenna lets you place the antenna outside the enclosure — on top of a cabinet, a pole, or a lid — while the Wavelet stays protected. The 8 ft cable gives you room to find a workable position.
