AMS Soil Fertility Kits are the agronomist's go-to for cutting and drawing soil samples across a wide range of conditions. Each kit centers on a replaceable-tip soil probe (1" or 1-1/4" × 14") with a 12" sample slot, and ships with four interchangeable tips — general-purpose, dry/clay, wet/mud, and serrated — to maximize recovery in any soil. Also included: a 10" rubber-gripped cross handle, 2' extension, adjustable footstep, soil ejector scoop, cleaning brush, spanner wrench, triple-lead flighted auger, and a compact carrying case. (1-1/4" kits add a plastic liner and end caps.)

In soft, moist, or tilled ground, push the probe with the cross handle or footstep. For dry, hard-packed soils, drive it with your choice of the AMS Compact Slide Hammer (which also reverse-hammers for easy retrieval) or the Hammer-Head Cross Handle with dead-blow hammer. All components use a 5/8" threaded connection.
